Beware...and stay on your toes...

Decide what you MUST change in your life to align it more closely to God's will, so that he can fulfill his purpose in you. Beware...and stay on your toes...

When we begin to walk this walk I believe that the enemy puts a hit out on us. Like a mobster he hires some of his best and sends them out to bring us back to him. Since we ran with him at some point in our lives he got to know us real well. He knows our weaknesses, he knows our flesh. So one by one he puts those temptations in our paths to see which one we'll fall for. He wants to hook us someway, somehow. When he see's that none of that is working he tries to creep into our thoughts. A lot of times he works off of condemnation. He loves to bring up the past. He loves to remind us of our failures. We need to remember that we did make those mistakes. And we will make mistakes. We're not perfect and never will be. But as long as we are quick to repent and stop doing whatever were doing then we can move past it. The devil will try to hang that over our heads every chance he gets. Don't fall for it. When your forgiven your forgiven. Psalm 32:5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"--and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Don't put a question mark where God has already put a period. If that means stopping whatever were doing at the moment, getting ourselves to a place where we can be alone and start claiming our freedom and peace and telling the lying devil to go back to hell with all his lies and that he is under our feet. We also have to know that only because were standing firm doesn't mean the devil will stop or take a break. He will continue, he will try to get us by using the weakest link closest to us. Identify what and who your life consist of. Who and what can be the weakest links. This can be people at work, your kids, your spouse, a friend, etc. Recognize it. Sometimes it takes a bit to see an attack, but this is why we have The Holy Spirit. To help us recognize a situation and give us wisdom through it. I've been experiencing an attack at work. It took me a minute to snap out of it and realize that this is an attack. I've had a challenging history with men, starting with my dad. I've been let down, and have always felt inadequate and unprotected. So the enemy has been trying to bring doubt into my mind about the peace God has already given me in regards to this situation. He's been using people at work and he's been putting thoughts in my mind like “Men are always gonna mistreat you” LIE! God goes before me. Therefore I will be respected. I believe God has a God fearing man for me. “Men are all the same” LIE! There is God fearing men out there. Single woman, we have to realize that these are lies from the pit of hell. We have a choice. We can trust God's promises for us or we can try and do it on our own. But from experience..I personally can't do it alone and I don't recommend you trying. The devil will tear you apart and anyone else that tries to get close to you, because they've already failed in your mind. The poor guy can't even stand a chance. The devil is a liar!!!! I have a battle plan for this situation..and I'm coming with it. Starting with this verse: 2 Corinthians 10:5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

We have to stand up to the enemy and remind him that we KNOW who OUR GOD is and we know who WE are in him. We need to have a conquering mind set and not a defeated mind set.

All of these situations are just a few of the enemies strategies, we must recognize that he WILL try and use our past to ruin our future. We need to fight against him, if we don't he will defeat us.
Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Every single day we are in a war..So its crucial that before we step out each day we put on the armor God has provided for us to fight against anything that can come against us. We should also invite the Holy Spirit to be active in our daily walk. And LISTEN.

The Armor of God – Ephesians 6:13-18
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
So keep on pressing on toward the vision and plans God has for you. We are equipped!!! Thank you LORD!!!!!!

Let's all work towards the purpose God made us for...

God has a plan and purpose for each and every one of us. But I believe the way we live, choices we make and our level of obedience to the Lord will determine how much of our purpose we will actually fulfill.

The enemy comes and puts distractions and temptations in our way. To get us off the path God has called us to. It's our choice to allow the distractions to be hurdles we simply jump over. Or speed bumps that for a moment slow us down, or detours into an entirely new path.

I know recognizing the enemy's strategies can be difficult at times. But I've found that the more I abide in the Lord and invite the Holy Spirit to be with me everyday..the faster I can now recognize the enemies strategies and am not as easily deceived. I do have times when I literally do feel my flesh dying..and it would be so easy to give in. But out of fear of being separated from the Lord and hindering my relationship with him, is what brings me back into perspective and defeating my flesh becomes a little easier. This is the first time in my life that I have experienced true Love, unconditional love, true acceptance, and for the first time I am able to receive and understand forgiveness. All these wonderful things were foreign to me because of my up bringing. But receiving them from the Lord and experiencing them and being able to live them out and give them to others feels so amazing that I don't want to do anything to loose it. I know that the Lord will continue to Love me no matter what . But I do believe there is a major difference in our relationship with God when we live obedient lives or rebellious lives. I believe living in obedience is key. Its definitely not easy. But the rewards are much greater.

So be encouraged and know that every time we put our flesh a side is a step closer to God. Let's stay focused on this and not allow the enemy to deceive us into detours, cause eventually one of those detours can lead us to the total end of our journey.
May you all continue to be blessed.

Kerrie Roberts - Outcast

Revelation....

Most of us at night will make sure to lock up our house before resting our heads on that pillow.  We don't only close our doors but we lock them and we shut and lock every window.  Why?  Because that is a way of keeping any harm that might want to come in, OUT. The same needs to take place in the spiritual realm. Just as we do it for our physical safety we need to do it for our spiritual safety.  We need to check ourselves and see what doors weve left open for the enemy to come in and entice us.  See, sometimes its hard to even notice if weve left an open door..why?  Because the enemy camouflages the sin.  He comes in so deseavingly, as something or someone that looks harmless.  But the moment he see's he's in he begins to poison without us even noticing...until the damage is done. Then he begins to build by using guilt, condemnation, dissapointment and it's a snowball affect.  But the Lord always offers forgiveness and grace...he never leaves us nor forsakes us..he allows us to go through things, but also provides a way out.  Let's search ourselves and our own lives for any open doors and rectify it..Because we need to stand up, and stop letting the enemy play us! I believe we give him too much credit over us.  He doesnt deserve it!  God deserves all the credit!
